Downloading and Creating

You must perform these operations on a separate computer that has a healthy hard drive and access to the Internet.

To download Active@ LiveCD:

  1. Open LiveCD site

    Navigate to the https://www.livecd.com official website in your web browser.

  2. Choose the product version

    To download the freeware version, select the desired host platform (Windows or Linux) and click the DOWNLOAD link.

    To download full-featured professional version , click the BUY NOW link and follow the payment procedure.

  3. Save the file
    You can save the downloaded file to a folder on your computer, or run it directly from the browser download location.
  4. Installing Active@ Boot Disk Creator

    On Windows:

    1. Run the downloaded ActiveLiveCD.EXE file.
    2. The installation wizard will guide you through the steps to accept the license agreement and select the destination folder.
    3. After Active@ LiveCD has been successfully installed, select the Run Active@ Boot Disk Creator check box and click Finish.

    On Linux:

    1. Extract all files from the downloaded ActiveLiveCD.TAR.gz archive.
    2. Run the BootDiskCreator script.
    3. If authentication is required to access the bootable storage media, enter the password for the superuser (root).
Proceed to the next section to configure boot options and create bootable media.
