To use Active@ Password Changer:

To start Active@ Password Changer:
From the Active@ LiveCD shell, click Applications > Accessories > Active@ Password Changer or click the Active@ Password Changer shortcut on the desktop. The Active@ Password Changer dialog box appears. Click Next to open the Options window, where you can choose how you want the search to be conducted.
- To change passwords on the current drive, click Choose the Logical Drive.

To scan the disk and detect multiple operating systems, do the following:
- Click Search All Volumes for MS SAM Database(s).
- Click Next. A progress bar indicates the status of the scan. A list of SAM hives appears upon completion.
- Select the appropriate database from the list.
- Click Next. The list of user accounts appears.
- Select the user whose password you want to reset and click Next.

Configure the desired changes
Select the appropriate parameter checkboxes to configure the desired changes. If you only want to reset the user account password, it is recommended to leave the default settings unchanged.
- Click Apply. A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click Yes. An information message confirms that the changes have been applied successfully.
- Click Finish.
- To change the password for additional users, repeat steps 5 through 9 for each user.
Note:
Manually copying the SAM database is only possible when the operation is being performed from a separate operating system.
